I'm a white tourist from New Orleans, so take my review with a grain of salt, but this seemed to be a fairly authentic voodoo market. If you're not local you're going to have to pay for the mini tour, but the guide explained a lot of interesting things to us about the goods for sale and their uses. You also get to meet priest and get a fetish. The prices are all over the place, and you're likely going to get ripped off a little, but you can haggle if you're down for that. Definitely recommended!

Stopped here to get a feel for the local fetish market and how it relates to the local voodoo practices. Plan on paying a small amount to get a tour and have some of the guys hanging around to pose for pictures. Well worth the CFA. There are a couple of voodoo practitioners available to explain the sights ( and smells)....and if you make a purchase they can provide the appropriate blessing! Very interesting place. Seems to be on a kind of tourist route, but pretty cool nonetheless.

Le marché aux fétiches se trouve au quartier Akodessewa à Lomé pas loin de de la lagune de Bè. On y trouve des restes d'animaux pour la fabrication des gris gris et des herbes médicinales. On peut également y trouver des échantillons de figurines Ewe honorant les jumeaux que les commerçants gardent d'ordinaire cachés. Il y a aussi des souvenirs, mais il faut marchander car le premier prix est généralement très élevé.

Un marché impressionnant qui permet d'acheter toute sorte de bêtes séchées utilisées pour les cérémonies de vaudou
Moyennant 3000 CFA vous pourrez visiter le marché accompagné d'un guide. Il vaut rajouter 3000 CFA pour faire des photos.
A la fin vous entrez dans une hutte rituelle ou on vous explque l'utilisation des grigris.
Les explications sont très intéressantes.

Ein krasser Ort! Ist nichts für Weicheier. Hier kann man was über die Voodookultur lernen. Hoch interessant. Man sollte hier nur hingehen wenn man es auch ab kann, es riecht teilweise nach Verwesung und es kann einem Angst machen. Auf keinen Fall mit Kindern hier hin gehen.
Der Markt war einer der außergewöhnlichsten Orte welche ich je besucht habe.

For anyone curious about voodoo this is the place to be if I remember it cost cfa 2,000 entry fee and extra cost if you want to take photos. As one who is pro animal conservation it was quite difficult seeing all the different animals that had been killed for the purpose of voodoo on display from dogs, chameleons, birds and other wild animals.

Really unique place to visit. My guide, Mark, who works there, did a great job explaining how the market works, the history of voodoo religion, and introduced me to some of the vendors. Buying fetish here is expensive, but you can tour and take pictures for a very affordable price.

It's an unique place. It's a culture thing which we have to respect. But It's also something that may offenses people . You pay 3000 CFA for entrance and 2000 extra when you want take pictures. If you want to learn more about the Vodoo culture then is it worth the go.

This place is a must if you visit Lome. I am not into it but interesting to see what Voodoo, Blackmagic, juju etc. Was all about... It amused me hope you enjoy the pics. You get a guide to talk you through. I just had fun taking pics.. Enjog

Vous y trouverez toute une panoplie d'objet/talisman retraçant les cultures africaines. Pour tous ceux qui sont là en temps que touristique, vous pouvez aisément ajouter ce lieu à votre liste de lieu à visiter sans avoir à le regretter

C'est un endroit très populaire de la ville de Lomé renommé marché de vente des têtes du tous les animaux non seulement les têtes, mais aussi les différentes parties des animaux. Il est aussi un lieu touristique pour les étrangers.

Great place to learn about voodoo religion.
They charge 5000 for a guide and photo permission.
The guide Mark was great, he spoke English and explained every little detail about the market and what’s everything used for.

All you need to practice white magic. Fixed price for entrance, right to take pictures and tour. Voodoo priest will try to sell you amulets, but no pressure. Avoid the special drink to elicit erections.

This place is wild!!! It’s nice to see that people believe in this and that it works for them. We saw charms for love, money as well as good luck. We also saw some beautiful artwork like masks.

You can find many things here and you can have a guide who will tell you what is what. I saw quite a few locals coming for ingredients, so it's not only a tourist trap
